Sweat, skin cells, hair, and tape residue build up in the vinyl and the seams — and a mop bucket of all-purpose cleaner just moves it around. Professional deep cleaning with extraction pulls it out of the mat. EPA-registered disinfection finishes the job.

We clean mats; we don't repair them. Torn vinyl and structural damage are outside our scope — but we can still clean a damaged mat.

Our process

Four steps, every visit

    Dry pass

    Every mat is vacuumed before any liquid touches it: grit, hair, tape residue.

  2. 2

    Deep scrub & degrease

    Powr-Flite scrubbers with extraction pull sweat, body oil, and grime out of the mat instead of pushing it around.

  3. 3

    Seams & tape lines by hand

    The spots machines miss and skin funk hides.

  4. 4

    Disinfect

    Mat Attack, an EPA-registered disinfectant (EPA Reg. No. 10324-80-83452), applied to label spec. Mats are ready to train on in about 30 minutes.

A jiu jitsu family that cleans mats for a living.

We're a local Lowcountry family that trains jiu jitsu together — so we know what a dirty mat feels like, and what a clean one means for the people rolling on it. Mat Pro Solutions started out cleaning wrestling mats and now services 20+ gyms across the Lowcountry, with service throughout South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Questions coaches ask

About 30 minutes after the disinfectant goes down. Extraction pulls the water back out during the scrub, so the wait is dry time for the disinfectant, not a soaked mat. Book us before open mat or between classes and you don't lose a session.

Mat Attack, EPA Reg. No. 10324-80-83452. It goes on last, after the mat is vacuumed, scrubbed, and extracted — disinfectant sprayed on a dirty mat mostly disinfects the dirt.

Yes. Rolled mats trap sweat and moisture underneath, and that side never sees a mop. We lift them, clean underneath, and lay them back.

Yes. Wall pads take the same sweat and skin contact as the floor and usually get skipped. Same process, same visit.

We're based in Charleston, SC. Most of our work is in the Lowcountry, but we take jobs anywhere in South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. Out-of-area rooms are easiest to schedule as recurring visits or grouped with nearby gyms.

No. Torn vinyl and split seams are a repair job, and we're not that. We'll still clean a damaged mat and flag anything we notice so you can decide what to do about it.

Depends on how many bodies hit the mat each week. Most active rooms we service are on a monthly or quarterly schedule; a wrestling room in season or a busy academy leans monthly, a club that trains twice a week can stretch it. We'll recommend a schedule after the first visit.

Standard hours are 8am–5pm every day; after-hours is by arrangement. If the room is busy all day, we come early or late so no class gets bumped.

Call, don't email — outbreak response is short-notice. We deep clean, extract, and disinfect the mats and wall pads. Be straight with your athletes: cleaning reduces what's on the surface, it doesn't guarantee nobody else already has it.
